EDITOR'S COMMENTS

From Antique Radio Classified for July 2009
(Copyright 1996-2009 by John V. Terrey - For personal use only.)

Welcome to another "mostly ads edition" of A.R.C. The coming radio events section is also included which lists 27 meetings, 9 meets, and 5 auctions for July. Articles will appear in a future issue.

With three major radio events coming up in July and August, we are pleased to print a guest editorial contributed by David and Julia Bart commenting on the importance of attending radio events, especially in today's Internet-centered environment. On the other hand, A.R.C. also has to compete in that environment.

New to A.R.C.'s website is an improved Marketplace, now in a shopping cart format. Just point and click to subscribe, renew, or purchase a book. All items are pictured, described and linked to a book review, if available. And, all credit card transactions are secure.

Be sure to take advantage of A.R.C. benefits: a toll-free number (866) 371-0512; Discover, MasterCard, American Express, Visa accepted; books shipped free in the U. S. by USPS media mail; and for current subscribers, a 10 percent discount on all book orders. And, again in this "mostly ads edition," is a subscriber $5 off coupon, good for any purchase over $30, except advertising. It is included in on page 20.

Happy Collecting!

John V. Terrey, Editor

ON THE COVER

On the cover this month is the flea market at last year's ARCI meet. You can see what you might be missing if you don't follow David and Julia Bart's recommendation to attend a radio meet this summer.
